There isn’t a lot of difference between breakfast lunch and dinner. Each meal includes rice, kimchi, vegetables and protein. Suppers come with side dishes which are an assortment of salads and vegetables.
Kimchi, pictured on the bottom of the photo below, is a spicy Korean condiment is served with every meal. It is traditionally made from Chinese cabbage that is salted , seasoned with spices and left to ferment. It is much tastier than it sounds!
Korean bbq is popular.

Soju is Korean vodka served chilled and neat.. It’s alcohol content varies from about 16.8% to 53% alcohol by volume. We have enjoyed the local brand, Jeju Hallosan Soju, named after the highest peak in Korea.
