The camp was managed by a family and the kids found us pretty interesting to watch.
For the next 10 days we continued on the glacier watching the stunning scenery unfold. The first hurdle was a deep river crossing. Normally it is done on foot, but the river was so high we did the crossing by horse.
There were several other river crossings that required some big "leaps"
Others that were just interesting
We discovered beautiful mountain meadows
Lakes to swim in,
Avalanche run out paths
Walked on plenty of glaciers
Half way through the trip, at Merzbacher Glades, we stayed two nights. We did a day trip towards Merzbacher Lake .
Then returned to camp for a sauna/bucket shower.
Clarence and Gabrielle seranaded us in the mornings and evenings. Clarence on one of his five harmonica's and Gab on the penny whistle or the recorder.
We saw remnants of Ibex
Took time for stretching
Enjoyed tents that were part of a permanest summer camp. Thankfully there were erected on woooden platforms so that we weren't directly on the ice!
Had some amazing views from the toilets
Luxuriated in the Dining Tents for tea and meals
